YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
These are our most frequently asked questions about the services LEPAT provides. If you have any additional questions, contact us.
Q. What types of law enforcement agencies can you help?
A. We can help all types of law enforcement: police, sheriffs, troopers, highway patrol, court services, corrections, park wardens, conservation officers, and all federal law enforcement.
Q. What is involved in creating a new, valid, physical ability testing program?
A. Setting up a new physical testing standard, whether for applicants or incumbent officers requires some expertise. To be sure your new standard is valid and will be accepted by the courts if challenged, certain criteria must be met prior during the initial stages of test development. A research component is essential and must contain content, criterion, and construct validity components.
"As a correctional officer transferring to another department I could not have passed my physical without LEPAT. You were beyond helpful, and the feedback I received was invaluable. LEPAT is an extremely professional, and well run program. I will be recommending LEPAT to any of my friends moving on into a law enforcement capacity without question. Thank you again for everything you do, you TRULY gave me the edge I needed to move forward in the application process."
