Q. Are all PTM products covered by manufacturers’ warranty?
A. Yes, all PTM products are covered by full manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty statements are provided with each of the items purchased.  All frames and welds have lifetime warranties; other moving parts carry a standard one year warranty.

Q. What are the shipping charges for PTM products?
A. With PTM products being shipped around the world, the freight charges differ for every order. After you have initiated a product inquiry, either by phone or via our on-line Inquiry Form, we will contact you to confirm shipping details for the quote.  Our shipping quote will be good for 30 days.

Q. What taxes are applicable to the purchase of PTM products?
A. Based in British Columbia, Canada, PTM collects Provincial PST (7%) and Federal GST (5%) on all PTM products sold in B.C.

  • PTM collects only the Federal GST (5%) on all PTM products sold elsewhere in Canada.
  • PTM does not collect any taxes on any of its products sold to customers outside of Canada.

Q. Where are PTM products manufactured?
A. All PTM products are manufactured in British Columbia, Canada.

Q. After I order a PTM product, how long will it take for delivery?
A. Generally, PTM manufactures to order, so the standard delivery time is 4-6 weeks.

Q. What is “BFOR Standardized Equipment”?
A. BFOR (bona-fide occupational requirment) equipment simply means that the testing components used have been identified by research, including a job-task analysis, as being "content valid" and related to the functions of the job requirements.

Q.  What is the Physical Control Simulator?

A.  The Phsyical Control Simulator is the only machine specifically designed to measure a person’s ability to apply and control dynamic forces (in a standing and realistic manner) that are similar to those involved in an arrest and control situation.  It was designed by an exercise physiologist with extensive law enforcement experience.  This unique and patented piece of equipment is used in numerous physial ability testing programs across Canada and the USA.
